eYeka Member Celebrates Standard Chartered Bank Win!

By Mikhail Kachakhidze on 2010年1月26日 04:30 Products And Features 0

eYeka isn't just an online community, behind it are real life individuals working together to express their creative passion and share their valuable insights. Not so long ago, we launched a private video competition on behalf of the Standard Chartered Bank for one of its new banking products geared towards the Generation Y. Jose Manuel from Spain won the competition and went home with the USD5,000 prize. Here's what he had to say about his experience:
"I participated in the Call for Entries because the concept itself and what they were looking for made me identify with it. I thought it was a great idea if I could express all my feelings about what I went through when I started my career. I was an inexperienced person, I didn't know exactly what to do. I was used to studying in college, which was a safe world because you know exactly what's going to happen next... but real life isn't like that. I wanted to capture that essence of how scared young people are when they are looking for their first job and how much they need help. I played around with the idea and added a little twist."
Jose's video (which we can't show you just yet) featured his friends as characters, so it was a team effort that paid off! Here are some pictures they shared during a recent night out, celebrating their win.

Iris Design Contest Winner Shares Experience

By Mikhail Kachakhidze on 2010年1月11日 05:25 Products And Features 0

We had a little chat with iris Be Better winner, Tom Gregory (TomG). Read what this nice and humble chap has to share about his participation and eventual win! We asked him: What was your motivation in participating and how do you feel about winning?

"I've been unemployed for a while now, and have been entering design contests to help develop my portfolio. Also to gain some exposure in the creative industry. To have my work viewed and judged by a top agency, such as iris, was a great opportunity, that I had to be a part of.

Having my work selected as the winner is a great honour. There were so many strong entries. I'd just like to thank Eyeka, Iris, and Adidas for their parts in the competition.

The prizes are fantastic. Everything looks, and fits great. It was nice to meet Romi (iris) and get to say thank you in person. Also to see where my work would be hanging. Thanks again to yourself and Lyna (eYeka) for your time in organising in all this." - Tom

Congratulations Tom and thanks again for sharing with us your creativity and insights. We can't wait to see more of your works.
