eYeka isn't just an online community, behind it are real life individuals working together to express their creative passion and share their valuable insights. Not so long ago, we launched a private video competition on behalf of the Standard Chartered Bank for one of its new banking products geared towards the Generation Y. Jose Manuel from Spain won the competition and went home with the USD5,000 prize. Here's what he had to say about his experience:
"I participated in the Call for Entries because the concept itself and what they were looking for made me identify with it. I thought it was a great idea if I could express all my feelings about what I went through when I started my career. I was an inexperienced person, I didn't know exactly what to do. I was used to studying in college, which was a safe world because you know exactly what's going to happen next... but real life isn't like that. I wanted to capture that essence of how scared young people are when they are looking for their first job and how much they need help. I played around with the idea and added a little twist."
Jose's video (which we can't show you just yet) featured his friends as characters, so it was a team effort that paid off! Here are some pictures they shared during a recent night out, celebrating their win.
