The Institute of Advertising Singapore and Eyeka jointly present the inaugural “Most Promising New Media Creative in Asia Pacific” Award in this year’s Advertising Hall of Fame, an awarding ceremony to be held in Singapore later this year. The winner will be flown to the country on an all-expense paid trip and awarded the Hall of Fame trophy plus USD5000 cash. The new award was created to provide creatives in the new media sphere a platform for recognition and career development.

The Jury… Richard Bleasdale Regional CEO, Asia Pacific Iris Richard is the guiding force of iris’ growing presence across Asia Pacific and has primary responsibility for network growth and senior level talent attraction and development. Prior to joining iris, Richard spent 15 years within the multinational Omnicom Group, working across Asia Pacific. His career with Omnicom started as the Founder of the Rapp Collins CRM agency in New Zealand, he then moved on to lead WRC, the multi award-winning integrated agency across New Zealand and Australia. In 2004, he moved to be permanently based in Singapore and was Group Managing Director for DDB Singapore and President & Managing Partner for Rapp Collins Asia Pacific. Richard started his career in the advertising industry in the UK, working for JWT, Ogilvy & Mather and the independent Scottish agency, The Morgan Partnership. He has been lucky enough to work across most major product sectors and brands including Adidas, AMEX, Air New Zealand, AIG, AMP, ANZ, Compaq, Dell, DBS Bank, Exxon Mobil, HP, McDonald’s, Mercedes-Benz, Nokia, Philips, Smirnoff, Sony Ericsson, Telecom NZ, Tiger Beer, Unilever, VW and Yahoo! Richard’s career has also seen him develop an increasingly integrated range of skillsets having at various times specialised in Brand Consultancy, Research, Advertising, CRM, Digital, Sales Promotion, PR, B2B, Experiential and Retail disciplines. Richard holds the Institute of Direct Marketing (NZ) post-graduate diploma, the IPA post-graduate diploma (UK) and a BSc degree in Biotechnology & Marketing. Richard although most often living on a plane, has his home base in Singapore where he lives with his wife Jenny and two teenage daughters. Emmanuel Sauquet Director of Business Development, Asia Pacific Google Emmanuel is responsible for all sectors of Google’s business development in Asia, overseeing international content acquisition, syndication, and wireless partnerships.  In particular, he works with leading media and Internet companies to help them grow their businesses by partnering with Google to distribute, promote, and benefit from their valuable content. Emmanuel joined Google in July 2006 as Director of Wireless Business Development for Asia and Latin America.  In this role, he has helped to bring to market innovative mobile solutions throughout Asia and Latin America. Emmanuel began his professional life in France, working as for Nortel Matra Cellular in Paris, with a focus on new mobile solutions.  Moving to Nortel Networks, he developed the 1*1 Fractional Reuse pattern, which doubled the Nortel Networks’ GSM system efficiency, a key achievement in GSM technology. His work with Nortel brought him to Asia, where he’s held a number of key positions, including CTO for the Asia Region and General Manager for Nortel Wireless Business in Japan. Emmanuel graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications in Paris. Chris Schaumann Global Advertising & Digital Lead, APAC | Greater China Region Microsoft | WW CMG Formerly Associate Business Development Director of XM Asia for 4.5 years in Singapore, Chris has joined Microsoft in November 2005. As Country Sales Manager for Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions in Singapore till February 2008 he drove triple digit revenue growth and ensured customer & partner satisfaction by optimizing analytics & processes. Currently, Chris works as Global Advertising & Digital Lead for the Asia Pacific/Greater China Region in Microsoft’s Corporate Marketing Group. Here he leads the global advertising campaigns, the relationship marketing programs and the digital readiness for the regions, accelerating Microsoft’s shift to Digital Marketing. Leveraging his extensive experience in Germany, US and Asia, he has worked with almost every MNC harnessing the power of digital media. Chris has more than 11 years of multimedia production and digital marketing consulting experience, and has participated in more than 130 Internet-related projects, which include strategy/concept, online media strategy (planning, buying and managing), complete web site architecture development process and maintenance, proprietary applications development as well as entertainment solutions for the music industry. He’s a passionate Blogger, Internet Evangelist and has spoken at over 140 conferences around the world and has conducted over 40 Digital Marketing Workshops, training over 1,000 practitioners. Steve Elrick Regional Executive Creative Director BBH Steve began his advertising career in the UK as a copywriter at Hall Advertising. He moved to Bates Worldwide, based in Hong Kong in 1991 and then onto Ogilvy &  Mather Singapore as Creative Director in 1995. After a brief stint at TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles, Steve has been the Regional Executive Creative Director  of BBH Asia Pacific since 1999and is also a member of the BBH Worldwide Board. Though Steve’s work has swept up a large number of accolades at both local, regional and international award show his shiniest possession remains his head. Leonardo O’Grady Director, Sparkling Activation Platforms Coca-Cola Asia Pacific After completing his BA at McGill University in Canada and MA at Johns Hopkins University Leonardo went to Italy where he joined Echo, an Integrated Marketing Agency.  In Singapore he launched Beyond DDB, an integrated marketing division of the Agency.  He co-founded and served as partner in the brand-consulting arm of DDB, the SpringBoard Group, and was one of the Director’s for Rapp Collins.  He then joined Coca-Cola’s Singapore office.  In 2001 he joined Saatchi & Saatchi for 5 years as Business Director.  His brand management experience in Singapore and Asia includes: CAAS, United Overseas Bank , Dow Jones, HBO, VW, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Tower Records, UOB, Compaq, Lexus, Sony, Guinness, Ricola to name a few.  Leonardo joined Coca-Cola Asia Pacific Group Office in 2006 as Integrated Marketing Director across Still and Sparkling beverages.  During his time as IMC Director he developed played a key role in developing Guiding Principles For Shopper Communications and Media Planning.  He then went on to work with the Group Marketing Director to lead Sprite Globally out of Asia.  In his current role he works across all of Coca-Cola’s Sparkling beverages for the Asia Pacific  Region.
